Welcome to Gilded Riot Studio: Where Accessories Refuse to Behave

There are perfectly respectable accessories in the world.

These are not those.

Gilded Riot Studio is an independent accessories studio creating handmade statement jewelry, artistic fascinators, and one-of-a-kind wearable art from vintage finds, reclaimed materials, beads, metal, feathers, and whatever else looks like it deserves another life.

GRS began with a fairly simple idea: the things we wear don't have to behave.

They can be strange. Beautiful. Tarnished. Oversized. Unexpected. A little theatrical. They can have history—or at least look like they might have a story they're refusing to tell you.

And sometimes the most interesting thing you can wear started its life as something else entirely.

A Little Vintage. A Little Rebellion.

I'm drawn to objects with personality.

Old metal. Strange beads. Forgotten brooches. Interesting textures. Vintage pieces. Industrial bits. Feathers. Things with patina. Things that aren't perfect anymore.

Especially things that aren't perfect anymore.

Rather than trying to erase those imperfections, I like making them part of the design.

That philosophy runs through the handmade statement earrings, upcycled jewelry, fascinators, and wearable art at Gilded Riot Studio. Some pieces draw on Art Deco geometry or Victorian ornamentation. Others feel industrial, botanical, nostalgic, eccentric, or like something brought home from a place that may or may not exist.

The collections are different.

The point of view isn't.

Why Gilded Riot?

Because I've never been particularly interested in making accessories that disappear into an outfit.

I like the piece that makes someone across the room say:

Wait. What is she wearing?

That's the good stuff.

A pair of unusual statement earrings can completely change a white T-shirt. A dramatic fascinator can turn getting dressed into an event. An unexpected piece of jewelry can make something you've worn a hundred times suddenly feel like yours again.

GRS is built around that kind of self-expression.

Not dressing for attention.

Dressing with intention.

There's a difference.

Made From Things Worth Keeping

Upcycling and repurposing are also an important part of Gilded Riot Studio.

I love taking vintage, reclaimed, overlooked, or unexpected materials and imagining a different purpose for them. Sometimes the starting point is obvious. Sometimes I find an object and have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with it.

Those are often my favorites.

Working this way means many GRS designs are one-of-a-kind or made in very small quantities. When the materials are gone, the piece may be gone too.

I like that.

It makes the finished object feel less like inventory and more like something discovered.

So, What Will You Find Here?

The Gilded Riot Studio journal will be more than a place for product announcements.

I'll share new jewelry and fascinator collections, the strange objects that inspire them, behind-the-scenes looks at pieces being made, vintage and design references, styling ideas, experiments that worked, experiments that absolutely did not, and whatever else wanders into the studio and earns our attention.

Essentially, this is where you can see what happens before the riot gets gilded.

Welcome to Gilded Riot Studio.

Come for the curiosities. Stay for the beautiful trouble.
